The Most Important Thing About E6

The “Most Important Thing” about E6

is that we are together.

Kids huddled together around open notebooks and scattered papers, searching for “super fascinating” facts.  Collecting, organizing, and distributing food to those who are facing difficult times.  Classroom leaders present a festive tradition that reminds us to be grateful for one another.  The most important thing about E6 is that we are together.

The most important thing about E6 is that we are creative.

Pouches of markers, colored pencils, and gel pens are taking up all the extra space on our shelves and desks.  Open any notebook and you will find pages filled with color coded notes, small sketches, and images to help the information “stick”.  Holiday tessellations turn into beautiful holiday cards.  The most important thing about E6 is that we are creative.

The most important thing about E6 is that we are curious.

Sometimes we raise our hands to ask a question or sometimes the questions are just blurted out, but there really is not such thing as a “dumb” questions.  The questions remind us that connections are being made and our brains are growing.   Rainforest creatures, the Anasazi, venn diagrams, and book club discussions inspire questions and investigations for answers.  The most important thing about E6 is that we are curious.

The most important thing about E6 is our families and our friends.

Learning, laughing, and working together is what makes this classroom so special.  Patience, kindness, and understanding is what makes navigating difficult situations easier.  Reminding ourselves everyday that with the love and support of students, parents, grandparents, sisters, brothers, pets, teachers, administrators, and friends that anything is possible.  The most important things about E6 are our families and friends.

E6 would like to wish everyone a happy and safe winter break.  Looking forward to seeing all of you in 2022!
